Metalstrip 1460, combined with Metalstrip Aktivator 1660, is a fast-acting paint stripper designed for removing coatings in inline systems. This stripper removes powder coatings with thicknesses between 60 and 100 µm in just 3 minutes, making it ideal for very short treatment times. Metalstrip 1460 is used as-is in immersion systems and does not contain halogenated hydrocarbons, ensuring a safe and proven process. The inline process involves using about 3-4 cm of Cover Layer 5104 in the tank.
Technical requirements for the paint stripping system
Materials in contact must be made of carbon steel or stainless steel and must be resistant to heated alkaline solutions. The inline process includes the use of ultrasonic systems in the paint stripping tank. The use of specific filtration systems will allow the separation of paint sludge, significantly extending the lifespan of the paint stripping bath.
