Metalstrip 1464, combined with Metalstrip Aktivator 1664, is an “NMP-free” fast-acting paint stripper developed for inline paint stripping processes. This stripper removes powder coatings with thicknesses ranging from 60 to 120 µm with very short treatment times, starting from 2.5 minutes. Metalstrip 1464 is used as-is in immersion stripping systems and does not contain halogenated hydrocarbons, ensuring a safe and effective process. The inline process involves using approximately 3-4 cm of Cover Layer 5104 in the tank.
Technical requirements for the paint stripping system
Materials in contact must be made of carbon steel or stainless steel and must be resistant to heated alkaline solutions. The inline process includes the use of ultrasonic systems in the paint stripping tank. The use of specific filtration systems will allow the separation of paint sludge, significantly extending the lifespan of the paint stripping bath.
