Metalstrip 3800: Powder coat chemical stripping

Metalstrip 3800 is an acidic, organic paint stripper formulated for immersion paint stripping processes at medium-high temperatures. It is particularly effective in removing epoxy powders, polyester powders, polyurethane, 2-k-epoxy systems, and acrylic paints, as well as most liquid coatings. Metalstrip 3800 is compatible with materials such as steel, aluminum, zinc, and brass, without causing visible damage. Treated parts retain their shine even after stripping, making it ideal for applications requiring high surface quality.

Technical requirements for the paint stripping system
Materials in contact must be made of AISI316L stainless steel and must be resistant to heated acidic solutions. The paint stripping process can be accelerated by mixing the bath. The use of specific filtration systems will allow the separation of paint sludge, thus extending the lifespan of the paint stripping bath.
